From the recording Undercurrent
Evin Nazya is an Indie-Alternative R&B singer from the Bahamas. She and Max met while the two were studying in the USA. They developed a weekly "Creative Accountability" system where over the course of a couple years, they checked in with each other every Friday to make sure they had taken time to do something creative that week. This collaboration is one of the fruits of that relationship. This song is significantly darker material than what Evin would normally create. She ended up being a good fit for this song, however, because her approach to music is very personal and introspective, which allowed her to deliver a very vulnerable performance that suited the lyrical content.
Maxwell Kozen - Vocals, Acoustic Guitar, Bass, Programming
Jericho Leal - Classical Guitar
Jared Leal - Drums, Other Percussion

Lyrics
Show me my hubris and my abuses
All my excuses become elusive
Another broken vow today
Another price I couldn’t pay
Another nail in hands that save
I let my promise break
Oh, it’s burning in my mind
How I can’t face all my mistakes or bring them to the light
No, I’m running out of time
And I can’t face my judgment day if I can’t make this right
My failures looming; it's all consuming
Always assuming my flaws have doomed me
Another prayed I fail to pray
Another sorry I can't say
I am the blemish on my faith
The servant of the snake
Oh, it’s burning in my mind
How I can’t face all my mistakes or bring them to the light
No, I’m running out of time
And I can’t face my judgment day if I can’t make this right
It’s time to go; terror grips my throat
Death calls, I know just why the bell tolls
I stand alone at the judgment throne
Guilt breaks these bones
There’s no way that I could atone
Oh, it’s burning in my mind
How I can’t face all my mistakes or bring them to the light
No, I’m running out of time
And I can’t face my judgment day if I can’t make this right
Oh, I can’t believe my eyes
But I’ve seen grace replace mistakes with perfect sacrifice
And though I fall a thousand times
I will remain to rise again and stand to face the light
