The artwork for Swimming To The Stars is officially here. Done by the exceptionally talented Tyler Dooks, we took a while to brainstorm together and he created a lot of really cool variant ideas before we settled on the final ones.
I wanted something simple that would reflect the major themes and imagery of the project. Overall the album has a "lighter" emotional tone to it, so I didn't want anything super dark. Side A - however, is the heavier, rockier portion of the project, so we chose darker colours for the central emblem. Likewise, Side B - being the softer, more ballad-driven portion, has a lighter tone to it. The circle is comprised partially of sea and sky, waves and stars, reflecting language from a few of the songs. The grey stripes in the background represent impartial and imperfect light, reflecting a journey through cloudiness, uncertainty, and the undefined. This again reflects on the albums lyrical themes, but also on stylistic ambiguity of the project overall. There is not one "genre" that this fits inside of squarely.
Stoked to re-release this into the world - of course, with a few new songs as well.
